TL;DR: I’m a geek/student, trying to figure out what I want in life. I’m wishing more and more every day that I was in San Francisco. Right now, I’m Occupying Wall Street and developing my first real web application.
Hobbies?
I love computers and all things about them. They’re the people I spend time with that aren’t human. Really, they have their own temperaments, attitudes, and reactions to input. (Like humans, they also don’t like it when you spill things on them.)
I’m a programmer, too. I’m fairly fluent in PHP, which is my main language, and I’m in the process of picking up Python and JavaScript and jQuery. C will come eventually.
I’m a native English speaker, working on picking up Russian. I already know a bit of Italian.
When I’m in the mood, I write fiction, especially science fiction. I’m in this year’s NaNoWriMo, but at this rate probably won’t reach the 50,000 word goal (but we’re not at 30 November yet!)
As far as reading goes, I’ve always preferred non-fiction to fiction, but I consume both.
How about relationships?
It’s not friday but I’m in love… with a sexy, wonderful guy.
Not in polite company?
I’ve spent a lot of time learning and re-evaluating my own beliefs over the past few years, leading me to being an anarchist, almost anarcho-communist.
After being fed up with the “sex is bad and gays are evil” rhetoric, I’m now an ex-Mormon. I don’t subscribe to any school of organized religion; I practice some aspects of them and reject the dogma, shame, and hate. As a polytheist, I believe in many Gods and Goddesses, but I pray mainly to Heavenly Father and Divine Mother.
